A/N:  Finally, here is the final chapter of TJ’s birthday fic.  I’m sorry it took me 7 months to finally finish it but we made it.  I’m feeling very conflicted about this.  On the one hand I don’t want it to be over on the other I’m happy to finally wrap this up.  This is my FIRST ever finished multi-chapter fic, as scary as that is considering I have so many in progress.  And I’m happy to finally be able to wrap this up and move on to another fic.  Thank you all for sticking with me through this, and thank you TJ for being patient and understanding about my schedule and lack of inspiration.  I hope you love this.  This is one of the shorter (if not the shortest chapters) but I didn’t think it needed to be long and drawn out, I’ve made you all read enough already.  Very nearly 30,000 words and 60 pages later, I give you the Fashion Craze finale.

Author’s Note: I was repeatedly asked for a continuation of Lapis Lazuli and because I loved the little ‘verse, I wanted to. After ages of grappling with a potential plot or something this was written. It was initially going to be about ¼ this length and just an opener for the sequel but it was too fun to write xD. So it’s the Lapis Lazul prequel, sorry that’s not a sequel instead. But I promise, you still get your Akame goodies or else I’d be hiding from the rotten veggies etc for delaying it longer. And as my brainstormer said, “You realize you have to do a sequel to Lapis Lazuli after this, right?” I know you’ll ask for it, and I will try to promise it to you because I want to write it. I just don’t know when that will be exactly.
[To my limited understanding] Selenite is a clearish mineral of crystalline structure. Selenite is usually used for the less common and clearer version of gypsium. Metaphysically it is supposed ot support mental clarity, insight, awareness and aids in accessing past and future lives (I know that means something different from the idea I portrayed but it was the closest medium I could find at the time)

Since I’m having trouble writing my other WIP I decided “Why not write it? :D” So here it is xD I couldn’t get one of the beginning scenes of Howl’s Moving Castle (Hauru no Ugoku Shiro) where Howl saves Sophie from the two soldiers trying to pick her up. I shamelessly incorporated it (in a way) into this drabble. Author’s Note: It was meant to be a drabble, or no more than 10 pages but then THIS happened.  It is currently about 27 pages, 9,350 words.  Hopefully she still enjoys it even though she’s a bit iffy on it (for once she hasn’t read this fic beforehand ^^;).
This is also because as of midnight my time (right now) is officially my one-year anniversary.  One year ago today I posted As Precious as a Song, my very first Akame fic ever.  This year has been amazing and I can’t possibly put everything I want to say into this author’s note so I’m going to make post on my journal for thanks.  I can’t believe all the support I’ve received, especially when I hadn’t expected any response of any sort.  This is a thank you to everyone who has read my stories in the past year.  I wish I could post the whole fic but it has run away with me so here are the first 19 pages or so.
I would like to say a HUGE thank you to my beta for this fic ^^ she put up with my odd writing style (I don’t normally plan much besides general scene outlines and I just write as I go without thinking much and let dialogue etc flow).  It creates HUGE grammar issues and is a bit confusing because some things totally make sense to me but no one else ( of course -_-) and she brainstormed with me constantly and put up with my inability to stay focused on one topic for too long while tolerating editing my work.  She deserves a prize for her patience.  ♥♥♥

♦As you can probably guess, I'm basically on indefinite hiatus. I haven't been able to write much in this fandom but I'm still tying. There are certain fics that I have promised I would finish before I officially bow out of writing Akame-fic for good. That would of course be my two help_Japan fics, the kizuna_exchange fic I'm currently working on, Lapis Lazuli's final installment, and À la Prochaine Fois' sequel (which actually just needs to be edited etc before it's fine to go up).

Author’s Note: Hey all~ I just finished 2 midterms so here I am.  This is actually my entry for the akame_ 2010 one-shot contest.  It’s my first time entering a fic contest so hopefully you all like my entry.  It’s only by chance this is being submitted. The prompt and general story somehow BARELY fit into the theme of Fairytale for the fic contest.  When I realized this (and cleared it with a mod) I decided to try and enter the contest.   I hope this still fits into the topic, if not please feel free to yell and me and dq me from the contest. 
AN2: I’ll be honest, I have made up and bent rules about magical creatures to suit my needs.  Please ignore the obvious discrepancies between the real descriptions of some of these creatures and the odd quasi-similar versions I’ve created.  There is also a glossary at the end if you need it (though I doubt it makes much sense >.>) (words marked with an asterisk * have a definition at the very end)

EDIT: I want to apologize in case anyone else reads this story.  Somewhere in files being swapped and MSword saving stories/betaing (we don't know exactly when/how) the finalized version with changed scenes was lost.  This is the original and there are quite a few things wrong with it and the characterizations are kind of off because of it.  I'm not satisfied with it but I won't be taking it down/changing it unless I find the will to rewrite it.

Hey ^^;

Just wanted to check in here just in case anyone actually bothers with this place...

I'm not dead nor have I abandoned fandom. School was insane this part quarter so I had to drop out of jent_bigbang  (so sadly you won't see that fic for some time) and NaNoWriMo. Now I'm on vacation and after a cruise to the Bahamas I'm back in net and cell service :Db.

I don't think I'll have a Christmas update sadly (unless I manage to finish one of my quick drabbles, one of which would be perfect for Christmas >.>). But I won't be home until the 27th/28th so I'm not too hopeful.

School starts back up in 2ish weeks, and next term will be even more hectic than last. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both this writer's block to pass and for classes to not be so hectic I can't write.

Author’s Note: Yeah so... an update! Sorry for the massive gaps between my updates school is ridiculous. So these 10 pages have been sitting in my files for almost a full year now and I figured I'd post it up for fun. As always, thanks to Tori who beta'd this submission and made it readable. I'm in the middle of kizuna_exchange  (though let's not think about that ;;) so I have no idea when my next update will be. Here's hoping I get my muse back soon. Fandom Auction for Australia and New Zealand

Now sorry to be spamming some of you with this but I know there are some authors on my f-list and I wanted to help advertise it and I hope you will help spread the word as well. It's at: fandom_flood_ap. Here is some information in case I get anything wrong: Auction Rules, Guidelines, and Timelines.

And proceeds go to reputable charities in order to help after the floors in Australia and it has also been expanded to help New Zealand as well. I don't know if I will be joining because I don't know what my term will be like next quarter but I could try.

They have started their second round of auctions, there are two sections for offering: non-written works (meaning baked goods, a set of icons, etc anything that isn't written basically) and written works (including fanfics).

They are accepting offers until March 14th 11:00pm AEDT and bidding then starts immediately after that at 11:01pm AEDT and bidding closes on March 22nd.

The basic deadline for delivery of goods is April 11 but extended deadlines are allowed so long as you warn about it/agree with your recipient on the deadline.

So please help spread the word. I know we're all incredibly busy but as always it's a good cause. Chances are with my inability to resist things like this I'll end up offering something.

Edit: school computer (which I used to post everything bc my J-partner and I were working on our project) mucked up some things, the link to the community where the auctions are taking place has been fixed. I have also added in a link for all the rules, etc for easier access.

I have officially made an offer at fandom_flood_ap in the written works category. I have little resistance for something for charity ^^; things also fall into a fairly nice timeline. I go home for Spring Break on about the 17th of March and don't return to school until probably the 27th of March. Things tend to be slightly less hectic the first week or two of new classes (so long as you aren't crashing any) so I should have the time to accomplish this.

I'm sure by now everyone has heard the news about Japan. I certainly hope everyone you know has been able to make contact/has been accounted for. I'm still waiting to hear confirmation from some friends about their whereabouts but I'm certainly praying for the safety of all those affected.

As of my understanding Japan still hasn't officially requested aid internationally but a community has already been created and have started compiling a list of charities where donations will be marked specifically for Japan. They will be opening up for offers on March 14th: help_japan .

Once things get opened up they're going to start opening first rounds for offers and bids. They may open up a lightning round at some point or other depending on what they decide. Here are the categories of offers:

[Sneak Peek] Creative differences... of a sort

First news first: kizuna_exchange  is submitted (though I'd really prefer it if no one ever, ever, ever reads that thing that I submitted. Ever.). help_japan  first auction rounds are over. So I'll hopefully be able to start working on the fics I owe rupsana and becroberts soon.

Creative Differences: Let's say I'm having some issues with Lapis Lazuli's sequel (which is still un-named as of yet). I kind of just want to delete the whole thing and throw my laptop against the wall...

So... if it never gets done chances are I've finally ripped all my hair out and given up on this damn thing for good. I kind of hope not if only for the sake of my hair...

But anyway, this is also a sneak peek because if you click the thumbnail and then zoom it to full-size you can read a few paragraphs. But half of the sentences make NO SENSE because I was tired when writing and editing them LOL. You can also see in this screencap that it was 1:03am when I took this cap (nearly a year ago holy shit it's been that long?!) and I obviously shouldn't work on fic after midnight but that's the only time I do.

Fic Mirror Set up + Dropped Fics

In the wake of the LJ outages I, and a few others, have created mirrors for our fics etc over at dreamwidth. This is for the sake of preserving them should anything happen to LJ. I know I have most of my fics on my hard-drive but I don't know if all edits/etc are also there.

Some notes should you ever need to use the mirror:

I couldn't import THESE posts because I accidentally made this a community rather than a regular journal, my idiocy because I was tired when I did this all. Because of this the fic posts from my personal journal, that were private-locked once I moved here, are the posts on the mirror. This isn't so much an issue content wise but there are some important things you should note.

- The tagging system is the OLD one, meaning it makes very LITTLE sense and isn't at all standard as it is here. You can try and use them but I wouldn't suggest it. Your best bet is sadly going back in entries until you find what you want. Luckily there are only a few pages of entries.

- The masterlist links will not bring you to the mirrored links. I haven't had time to redo them and I'm not sure I will considering how long it could potentially take. If anything just use the masterlist for summaries and status updates. The current links will bring you to private-locked (meaning no one but I can see them) posts.

- The chapter/part links also will NOT bring you to the proper mirror links. They will do the same as above and bring you to an unviewable post on my private journal on LJ. Your best bet is just finding the different parts on the mirror journal. This shouldn't be too difficult because they should be one after the other in post order.

- Author's notes, etc have not been edited since the original posting of the fics, meaning my ridiculous ramblings might still be there.

- In this community, fics were consolidated into less posts. On my personal journal I was never allowed to do relatively long posts (by that I mean more than 7-8 MW pages per post). So there are more parts per fic than there are here. A minor annoyance that ties into the chapter/part links that aren't available.

- In general things aren't even close to as organized as they are here, but it is a last resort option.

- Finally, I'm going to try and keep it up to date, but as you can see, if you check, the 2nd chapter of Uni!au isn't up. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up to date once I start posting again.

Thank you for the patience and sorry for the disorder at the mirror, I wish I had the time to fix it. I don't know if I'll be able to change any of the above issues for quite some time because of my schedule at the moment.

Dropped Fics:

No one has commented on this to me but in my inactivity I haven't bothered to address it until now. If you can't find one of my fics from before in this community or at the mirror then it has most likely been dropped/abandoned. There is a chance I either forgot to transfer it here/forgot to open it on the mirror but that's fairly unlikely.

Also, DoL has almost 100% been dropped/abandoned. TJ and I most likely will not be working on it again/finishing it anymore. I still have some pre-written portions but... I doubt they will be posted over at the proper community. The Frog Princes is another one that is up in the air. I would love to finish it but if I did I would most likely completely rewrite it from the beginning and probably change quite a few things. AnD is among these as well, just to make that known.

It's kind of depressing to phrase it in this manner but I'm afraid I should be blunt about it now.

I probably should have done this ages ago but posting of fics as ended over at kizuna_exchange ! If anyone checks this post you should all go read the amazing fics over there, the turnout was brilliant.

Guess the Author has gone up here.  Basically there's a form there and you fill in who you think wrote which fic, reveals go up in a  few days.

I probably shouldn't do this but if anyone can successfully guess which fic was mine I'll write you at least a small something. [non-fic] Update

Right so... I figured I'd post something here to keep things mildly up-to-date.

I'm actually writing for once, and yes I know it's a miracle at this point /laughs. I feel bad for not really having written in the past.... 8 months I think it is? Though #k_x was in there it's not quite the same.

I'm currently working on finishing up the two fics I owe from the help_japan  offers I placed. In regard to h_j, I would love to make another masterlist like I did last time but I don't have the time. As far as I know they're still doing Lightning Rounds so please check it out!

So long as I'm given permission from both my winners I will be posting the fics I'm working on (one of which just crossed 6k early this morning which is a huge deal for me atm considering my writer's block) here. Both have actually been in-progress for a really long time, I was just bribed to finish one and the other was picked up as a prompt.

So I really didn't say anything of importance but if I can stick to my 500~ words a day quota you should expect to see something new very soon!

Update: Fic Progress

Right so now that my masterlist is almost nearly complete I figured I'd post an update about what I'm working on. I obviously have a thing for word-count widgets. I normally use a larger one that's much more interesting but I hardly want to spam your f-list with a huge entry filled with large widgets xD

My first help_japan  fic for becroberts /notaverse 

- It is very likely that the anticipated word-count [atm 15,000 words] will have to be increased to suit just how long this fic was planned to be. It was initially meant to be a potential jent_bigbang  fic.

Second help_japan  fic [het!Jin] for rupsana 

- What I have for this one is likely to re-written and it's also likely to go over the 3000 word-count because I already have pre-written portions.

Lapis Lazuli/Selenite's sequel, tentatively named Amethyst.

- I honestly think that will go OVER 8000 words; I have so much to still work out for it and long scenes to write....

So hopefully I'll be finishing up these soon and once I have permission to post both help_japan  fics I'll be putting them up here :D Granted... I've been saying this for ages so if you don't believe me I totally understand.

randomicicleand becquinhohave talked me into doing podfics so I'm starting. I have one going up for the je_podfic Secret Theme Challenge. I'm a bit embarrassed, particularly because I definitely don't have a voice suited towards podfics but I hope you enjoy them.



randomicicledemanded that I do a podfic for Lapis Lazuli so I should hopefully have that finished soon.


I am working on writing. I've been slowly getting back my inspiration but it's still a very trying thing and I'm not sure if I'll be back to my usual writing state anytime soon.

[Request] Drabbles

Right so that 10 Genre Drabbles Meme has been going around and I considered doing it, I really did... but I'm fairly certain that's not the sort of thing that would help with my writer's block. I'm really struggling with it and it's quite frustrating because there are so many fics I need to, and want to, be working on.

This worked pretty well for me last year. When I went through a bout of writer's block the last time (which seems like it was so long ago, over a year at least). A few friends gave me picture prompts etc. which seemed to help pull me out a bit (and that's actually how a few of my drabbles on the list were written).

So here's the idea: give me drabble prompts. Give me a pairing, general idea, short prompt, rating, genre, etc. Just keep in mind these will be drabble length... and not in the sense of what I usually write (where they end up as 1000s of words) but probably a few paragraphs or less.

You guys know what I right, or at least I'd hope most of you do, so I mainly write Akame but I might be willing to write other pairings if I'm familiar enough. If you really want it you can even request something in Harry Potter or FFVII and FFVIII, it's been a while since I've written in those fandoms but I could probably do it.

So tell me:

Who: (characters, pairing, etc.)
What: (your prompt, anything from just a few words to lyrics, or pictures)
Rating: (if you have a preference for rating, but just remember I don't write NC-17^^;)
Genre: (if you have any preferences)

You can make as many prompts as you like but I won't promise to write all of them. I'll do my best to write one for each person but we'll see if this helps my writer's block at all but I suppose I just can't promise anything but that I'll do my best.

Just checking in with you guys because a lot of you aren't on my personal f-list and have no idea what's up.

I'm not dead, but I feel pretty close to it. Let's just say my health took a huge downturn and it's most likely very serious, they're still trying to determine what exactly it is.

I'm not completely out of this fandom but I feel like soon I will be. I haven't been writing at all, not in any fandom which is quite rare. Usually when I get writer's block I can write some original fic or other fandoms and be moderately ok but I've basically come to a complete stand-still. I've slowly been pulling further and further from this fandom.

It's quite odd really, lately it almost felt like writing had become a chore of sorts. I had to force myself to get started when before I couldn't wait to start writing, it was something I needed to do regardless of whether I had the time or energy to do it. I went to Yaoi-con in San Francisco recently and I attended a panel there strictly on Overcoming Writer's block. One of the panelists mentioned something I'd been thinking about for a long time. Sometimes you have to remind yourself of why you love writing a certain fandom, sometimes you have to fall back in love with the pairings/characters before you can really do them justice.

Maybe that's what I need, to fall back in love with writing; but as much as I hope it'll happen as the days go on I'm starting to doubt it more and more.

However, before I leave I promised myself there were certain fics I will finish, no matter what it takes. They are: Harry Potter!Akame (charity fic), A la Porchaine Fois' sequel, the Lapis Lazuli tril, and another het!fic charity fic that most of you probably aren't interested in.

I know I have a lot of WIPs etc, and maybe one day I'll be able to finish them but I feel like I have to do these fics before I can make a break from the fandom.

Now, I actually almost have one of those fics ready for posting, I'm currently waiting on feedback on it and then I'll have to find a beta but I plan on having it up on Christmas as a bit of a gift and thank you for you all putting up with me for so long.

Sorry!!! [Fic and Member-requests]

I know I said I was going to do an update for Christmas but :/ with my health how it was (and still kind of is, ie: complete hell), horrible finals, having my wisdom teeth removed (and the subsequent vicodin-filled daze), and having to deal with my family for an actual, extended period of time I got very little done. Plus my lovely friend who has been giving  me feedback on the fic, that was meant to be the Christmas update, have been having trouble finding spare time to sit down and address/brainstorm solutions for some issues.

I also still have no beta and didn't have the energy to search for one, to be completely honest...

So like I said I'm so sorry ;; I'll try to be better about this. My new goal for this fic: have it prepped and ready to go for posting on my birthday: Feb. 23rd. It can serve a double as my birthday fic and Kame's birthday marker so... we'll see. I just started a new term at uni and things are already exhausting and my health is still fucking with me.

ALSO! I am so sorry for those of you who were sitting around, waiting for confirmation of your member requests for ages and ages :X I know you're probably not reading this BUT I want you guys to know that it is NOT your faults in any way if I don't immediately approve your requests. While I do take a glance at requestees' profiles to see if it's empty that doesn't stop me from approving it. The way I see it, this whole comm is unlocked anyway and if I do member-lock stuff in the future it'll probably be sneak-peeks and whatnot. So basically nothing of importance.

If it takes me a few days/weeks/months to approve your request it's because in the past few months I've just been glancing through my e-mails for stuff that needs immediate attention. If you've ever spoken to me you'll probably have noticed a) I have the memory and attention span of a goldfish and b) I'm a bit ditzy... lol. Chances are I saw your request, thought, "I'll remember to take care of it when I get home." Which resulted in me forgetting and then I'm reminded a few weeks/months later because someone ELSE makes a request and I remember, "Oh shit, did I ever approve that one person's request?" and then check.

So in short if I don't approve your request immediately: do not fret because nothing on this community is locked, it's because I'm forgetful and busy, it's in no way your fault/a consequence of your actions, AND if you start feeling antsy about it/don't want me to forget about you, just send me a PM after you make the request or once you decide it's been too long. I won't be bothered at all if you PM me about this. If anything I'll be happy because chances are I forgot within a few minutes because I'm so scatterbrained about everything and will LOVE the reminder no matter how quickly or late it comes. Plus, because I can't directly see the PM until I log-in to LJ as opposed to in my e-mail (at least I think I can't? It used to be that way) I'll be curious, star it, and then know to look it up later lol.

Oh and once again sorry for my horrible updating tendencies... meaning the nonexistent ones. I'm still in massive Akame writer's block. I've had no trouble whatsoever churning out 40k+ for an HP fic I started on a whim while dazed out of my mind on vicodin.

[Announcement] Concerning Friends-Locked Posts and Kizuna_exchange

Right so I haven't properly done an actual announcement in a while. I have... two

1. Certain posts have gone friends-only. At the moment these posts are only the ones that have previews of uncompleted fics. I'm doing this because I was rereading some old posts looking for something and realized that that had been a part of my intention ages ago and it makes sense.
   • If there are snippets up (which I can remember two atm. The one I just posted the other night and a post where I show a screencap of my word document, which if you clicked the thumbnail you could read part of a rant and part of a scene of Lapis Lazuli's sequel). Not only that but these previews are for the most part not proof-read or beta'd so there isn't any guarantee that what you're seeing will even make it into the fic in any form. Just for that reason mainly they're going members-only because they're not finished products.
   • I guess I should insert: just to make things easier I’ll create a members-only tag so that you can see which previous posts have become members-only if you’d like. It’s not horribly important but it might be worth having later down the line.
2. I mentioned it somewhere but I’m currently involved in this year’s kizuna_exchange. I told myself a billion times I wouldn’t do it and then somehow talked myself into it whilst help convince a friend to do it too. Next thing I knew I was on a deadline trying to complete this plot that had run off with the stars and taken me with it.
   • I’m only mentioning this because even though I’ve kind of gotten my muse (the bitch Calli) back, I can’t really work on anything Akame-related but my k_x fic. So I mean expect to see some no doubt brilliant fics by other authors in k_x but don’t expect to see any non-exchange fics from me until after I finish this.

That’s it for announcements… I hope. Well I am actually taking a medical leave of absence from uni so you might, that’s a huge might by the way, see some updates from me. This doesn’t guarantee anything because I’ll still be busy but I might feel up for writing more soon, hopefully.

[Announcement] New Fic-Journal, Pardon the Dust

Alright so if you're visiting here you've probably noticed that I've once again changed where all my fics are kept. There was an incident that I won't go into but it prompted me to lock down my fic-community and I immediately went to make this one. Now this is a journal instead of a community which is because this way I can cross-post to my Dreamwidth mirror without any issues, which I couldn't do with a community.

So in the mean time please pardon the dust and issues that may be going on. So here are a few announcements.

• There is currently NO Masterlist for fics. I didn't bring it over yet because all the links would be wrong. I will be redoing soon, maybe tonight maybe sometime next week. I'm exhausted and LJ hates me so it might be a bit trying to do /sigh. I will however get it finished and once it is up it will remain at the TOP of the journal.
• If you need to locate a fic while the Masterlist is not up please use the tagging system. I have imported the tagging system over to help with things
• NONE of the links will be working. Any links to the next chapter/other posts on this journal will take you to the OLD journal which is members-locked at the moment. So please utilize the tagging system to locate the next chapter of a fic but they are all pretty much posted one after another to help with locating them.
• If you find anything that is wrong please tell me and I'll fix it. I was just copying and pasting HTML over so maybe I accidentally pasted the same thing twice, please feel free to comment anywhere and as soon as I get a chance I will fix it.
• My dreamwidth mirror (aya_magic) is going to have ALL of it's posts deleted and I am going to import THIS journal now. Because I couldn't import the community from before I had to use the old posts and systems from my personal journal, meaning things made NO SENSE. This way, at least things will be in proper order.
• The old community will not be deleted. If you want to go back and looks at comments/anything on that journal please feel free to, just know that you have to be a member to see ANYTHING on it.
